4OK, but!  Apr 18, 2008
Some of the music and chord changes are not what I remember or have seen elsewhere. In general, this would not have been too bad, but its not what I expected and am use to.

5Very enjoyable and nostaligc.  Apr 10, 2008
I am thoroughly enjoying this collection of music. It has good piano accompaniment that isn't too difficult yet neither too simple to play and the melody line is written out to enable one to sing along. It just kind of makes one want to get on a horse and ride "Along the Navaho Trail." I am delighted with all the verses it includes for "The Old Chisolm Trail". And it has a good version of "The Yellow Rose of Texas." It has both traditional songs and some of the more popular songs about the cowboy life. It is just plain enjoyable. I'm loving it!

5Great Cowboy Music Resource  Jun 03, 2007
This book is definitely a terrific resource for music from the old west. I used this resource to create a readers' theatre production of a book about the old west, and the program was a hit. You will not be disappointed in your purchase -- it's a big bang for the buck!!
