Positive Answers for the Aggressive Dog. The dog that bites. The dog that attacks other dogs. The dog who may not survive his own aggressive behavior. What can be done to help these dogs? When Emma Parsons, canine behavior consultant, discovered that her own dog was aggressive, she developed innovative and effective strategies to calm, alter, and re-shape his reactive displays, and those of her clients' dogs.

* desensitize your dog to approaching strange dogs
* grab your dog's collar without getting bitten
* teach dogs to perform canine calming signals on cue
* use your own body language when under stress as a cue for your dog to remain calm

5Excellent Book!  Aug 17, 2010
This book was the text for a class for our reactive dogs. Excellent program.

1My Dog Chewed Up the Clicker and Peed on it!!!  Aug 02, 2010
Unless you are mute, this book is all about bribing your dog left and right with treats. If you want something logical, practical and even natural, stay away from this book and this philosophy. Why can't we calm or control a dog's aggressiveness with our voice? Am I the only one missing something here?

4Great to have in your toolkit  Jul 20, 2010
This book is great for describing 'recipes' for dealing with aggression in dogs. It's simplistic, which makes it very doable!

My only complaint is that this book is perhaps repetitive in places, but this is probably helpful to novices involved with an aggressive dog.

Great ideas for dog trainers, and workable solutions for dog owners.

5excellent ideas  Feb 26, 2010
The book has some really good ideas on how to help the overreactive and/ or shy dog. I have already recommended it to a few people. This will always be a good reference book.

4helpful book, great service from Amazon  Jan 26, 2010
"Click to Calm" is written by one of the best positive reinforcement dog trainers. Full of helpful tips and step by step training to help a reactive or aggressive dog. Best for people who already understand a little about dog training, may be a bit overwhelming to complete novice. Very detailed. Highly recommended! And, Amazon.com was great to deal with- they immediately solved a problem with delivery.
