A wonderfully unique and entertaining book! This extensive collection of true Arabic Names is now available from Syrian-born author Bachir Bserani. In this exciting book, Bachir Bserani supplies more than just a mere listing of Arabic words, he goes beyond by providing an extensive collection of true and appropriate Arabic Names suitable not only for Arabian jorses , but also for your precious Pets that you want to give a beautiful, meaningful and unique name. The Arabic Names are written in both the masculine and feminine form in Romanized Arabic as well as handwritten Arabic calligraphy. Additionally, beside each name is the English meaning as well as the phonetic pronunciation. While the second half of the book is the Arabic-English, and English-Arabic dictionary with meanings and translations, the first half of the book includes chapters on the author's background, along with a history of Arabian horses. There are also charming Arabian horse stories written from an authentic Middle Eastern perspective that express pure love and praise for these beautiful creatures through Bserani's natural story telling ability. The stories tug at your heart strings bringing both laughter and tears. Filled with breathtaking, full-color photographs throughout. This is a fantastic one-of-a-kind publication! 5authentic arabian horse names  Jan 06, 2009
This is simply a wonderful book! One can almost feel they are there, with
the stories and the history. Beautifully written and appointed, it was
a great help to me, I found the perfect name for my new foal. I couldn't
be happier, this copy was actually a gift for a friend because I liked
my first copy so much.

4More than Just Names  Sep 11, 2007
This book is one of my favorite Arabian books. It has so much more to it than just authentic Arabian names, it is rich with the stories that are in it too. Really gives the reader some insight into the culture of the Arabian horse. This book will remain a staple in my breeding program. I would love to see some other books by this author too.

5Simply a wonderful book!  Nov 08, 2005
I just received my copy of Authentic Arabian Horse Names and I couldn't put it down. Congratulations! It is a book that is long overdue in the Arabian horse community. I have experienced the poor naming choices that plague the Arabian horse here in the United States. Now owners and breeders will be able to name their horses properly with confidence.

I was struck by the wonderful stories about life in the desert with the Arabian horse. I teared up as I read about Abou Mahmood and his beloved Rheemah. The stories give us readers a greater understanding of why the Bedouin people hold the Arabian in such a high status.
