An Autobiography of Buffalo Bill

William F. Cody was the man that created the bridge between the Real West and the Mythical West. Cody started work in the western plains hunting buffalo and later created the “Wild West Show” a sort of travelling rodeo/circus. The cast of characters in Cody’s Wild West show included real life legends Sitting Bull and feminist sharp shooter Annie Oakley. The show held stagecoach races and depicted such famous events as Custer’s Last Stand.
